A cryptocurrency associated with the defunct Mt. Gox earlier today transferred 32371 ($2.13 billion) to an unknown address.

The large transfer comes after creditors using the cryptocurrency exchange received their payouts to their exchange accounts yesterday.

Mt. Gox also sent about $2.8 billion in bitcoin to a new address yesterday. Large transfers from the Mt. Gox wallet often precede large bitcoin transfers to centralized exchanges for creditor payouts.

Mt. Gox has also begun to send bitcoin to crypto exchange Bitstamp, which said it will try to distribute the funds “as soon as possible” after receiving them.

Mt. Gox was a bitcoin exchange launched in 2010 that went bust after losing hundreds of thousands of bitcoins in a series of supposed thefts.
